Wikipedia will require proof of credentials
Wikipedia is going to change their rules so people have to provide some kind of proof of their credentials, when mentioning them in Wikipedia. This follows the story of a 24 year old college drop-out who claimed to be a professor of theology, and was promoted to an arbitrator.

I use and contribute to Wikipedia, but I am of the opinion that it's less good than what many people would have you believe.
The "NPOV" approach often leaves a door open for fringe groups to push their ideas, as if they were legitimate, or at least non-fringe. What Wikipedia can be used for, is getting a basic grasp, or quick definition, of a subject, and find references to other sources.
